Power Supply

A power supply is an electrical device that provides electric energy to an electrical load. It converts one form of electrical energy into a different form, typically from an AC (alternating current) source to a DC (direct current) output, although some power supplies can also output AC power. Power supplies are crucial components in various electronic systems, including computers, appliances, and industrial equipment, as they ensure the proper voltage, current, and frequency required for the device’s operation. They can be classified into different types based on function, such as linear power supplies, switching power supplies, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). The primary role of a power supply is to deliver stable and reliable energy, protecting the load from voltage fluctuations and ensuring efficient performance.
