Energy

Energy is a fundamental concept in physics that refers to the capacity to do work or produce change. It exists in various forms, including kinetic energy (the energy of motion), potential energy (stored energy based on an object’s position), thermal energy (related to temperature), chemical energy (stored in chemical bonds), and nuclear energy (released in nuclear processes). Energy can be transformed from one form to another but cannot be created or destroyed, a principle known as the conservation of energy. It is a scalar quantity, measured in joules in the International System of Units (SI). Energy plays a crucial role in all physical processes and is essential for sustaining life, powering devices, and enabling various natural phenomena.
